Quality Evaluation of Fresh Tiepishihu(Dendrobii Caulis)Based on Principal Component Analysis and Cluster Analysis
Objective:To optimize the trait evaluation indicators of fresh Tiepishihu(Dendrobii Caulis),to reveal the correlation between its traits and components, and to comprehensively evaluate them. Methods:The appearance trait indicators(middle internode length, color value, etc.)and their intrinsic quality indicators(crude fiber, polysaccharides, etc.)were determined for different batches of fresh Tiepishihu and the data were statistically analyzed by Excel and SPSS 21.0 software. Results:The middle stem diameter and the middle internode length could be used as the trait indicators for optimizing fresh Tiepishihu. There were significant differences between polysaccharide and galacturonic acid, glucose, galacturonic acid and galactose, mannose and galacturonic acid, galactose and arabinose in saccharides components of fresh Tiepishihu(P<0.05 or P<0.01).According to the principal component analysis and cluster analysis,12 batches of fresh Tiepishihu could be divided into 3 categories:the first category with superior quality, including fresh Tiepishihu from Xiushui,Yugan greenhouses,Longhu Mountain,Xiushui tree-attached cultivation and Xiushui cliff imitating wild cultivation;the second category with intermediate quality, including fresh Tiepishihu from Longhu Mountain,Yujiang,Poyang greenhouses, and Guangfeng and Hengfeng cliff imitating wild cultivation;the third category with relatively poor quality, including fresh Tiepishihu from De'an greenhouses and Dexing tree-attached cultivation. Conclusion:The quality evaluation system of fresh Tiepishihu with multi-indicator and multi-component was established based on principal component analysis and cluster analysis, which was helpful to establish the fresh quality evaluation standard and specification classification of fresh Tiepishihu.
