Review of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Treatment of Cough Variant Asthma
Cough variant asthma(CVA)is a type of atypical asthma with cough as its main symptom.CVA is classified as cough and wheezing in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).The pathogenesis of CVA is deficiency in nature and excess in superficiality,environmental pathogenic factors,external contraction of pathogenic factors,endogenous pathogenic factors and constitutional bias which can lead to CVA.In this paper,the relevant studies of TCM treatment of CVA in recent years were summarized as follows.Taking syndrome differentiation,disease stage differentiation and disease location differentiation as important treatment methods,the therapeutic mechanism of CVA was explored from the perspectives of six meridians and collateral disease.The experimental studies on single medicinal and Chinese compound formula in the treatment of CVA were analyzed.The clinical studies on Chinese compound formula in the treatment of CVA and constitutional distribution of patients with CVA were analyzed,so as to provide more methods and ideas for clinical treatment of CVA.There were 55 references in total.
