Based on the theory of five evolutive phases and six climatic factors,and starting from the concept of overall dynamic balance,this paper analyzes the curative efficacy of Wuweizi Decoction(五味子汤)combined with Beihua Decoction(备 化 汤)for refractory cough caused by dermatomyositis-related interstitial lung disease(DM-ILD)in the year of Xinchou.Throughout the year of Xinchou,the water is insufficient,with taiyin damp earth dominating the heavens and taiyang cold water in the spring,characterizing the whole year's qi transformation as dominated by cold dampness.As cold dampness is a yin pathogen,it easily injures yang qi,especially kidney yang,so in the year of Xinchou,the prevention and treatment of diseases should focus on supporting yang and warming the middle.Wuweizi Decoction and Beihua Decoction were formulas created by CHEN Wuze based on the Yunqi characteristics of the year of Xinchou,and their combination had the functions of warming the kidneys,strengthening the spleen,dispersing cold,warming the lungs,resolving phlegm,and nourishing yin.which perfectly matched the pathogenesis of refractory cough caused by DM-ILD in the year of Xinchou.Therefore,using Wuweizi Decoction and Beihua Decoction in treatment of cough caused by DM-ILD in the year of Xinchou has good curative efficacy.
