Treatment of Interstitial Lung Disease Associated with Sj?gren's Syndrom from Mutual Generation of Metal and Water
Sjögren's syndrome(SS)belongs to the category of dryness arthralgia,dryness is easy to injure the lungs,so it can cause lung arthralgia and lung flaccidity,and leads to Sjögren's syndrome-associated interstitial lung disease(SS-ILD),of which the pathogenesis is complex and it is difficult to treat.The important etiology and pathogenesis of SS-ILD are qi transportation disorder and water metabolism disorder caused by physiological dysfunction of lung and kidney in traditional Chinese medicine.The pathogenesis of SS-ILD evolves as follows:in the early stage,the lung is injured by dryness evil,and qi is dissipated.In the middle and late stage,the lung and kidney,qi and blood are injured.Therefore,it is proposed to treat SS-ILD from the theory of the mutual generation of metal and water,the specific applications include clearing and nourishing lung yin,nourishing kidney yin to improve the adverse reactions of glucocorticoids and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.Activating qi to promote blood circulation and warming yang and resolving fluid retention to eliminate the pathological factors such as phlegm and blood stasis in SS-ILD.For the chronic disease and deficiency in SS-ILD patients,the lung and kidney are supplemented together.Meanwhile,for the patients with deficiency and mixed with excessiveness,supplementing and purging should be applied in order to recover healthy qi and the functions of the lung and kidney.
