This paper introduces Chinese medical master Professor ZHANG Zhiyuan's experience in applying Zhuru(Bambusae Caulis In Taenias).Master ZHANG knows Zhuru thoroughly and often applies it in clinical practice,and the dosage of Zhuru is often highlighted in prescription medication.By combining Zhuru with various drugs,the efficacy of Zhuru in clearing heat and purging fire,reducing adverse reactions and relieving vomiting,relieving depression and tranquilizing mind can be better exerted.At the same time,he makes good use of classical prescriptions and creates empirical prescriptions to treat a variety of miscella-neous diseases and intractable syndromes,such as Sihao Decoction(四皓汤)in the treatment of"lantern disease",Sanzhu Decoction(三竹汤)in the treatment of neurasthenia,Nanyang Liwei Decoction(南阳理胃汤)in the treatment of intractable vomiting,all of which highlight the status of Zhuru in the prescription and Zhuru often plays the role of monarch drug.And 3 test cases are attached.
