Analysis of Relationship Between Osteoporosis and Senile Depression from Imbalance of Yin and Yang in Kidney
Osteoporosis and depression are two common diseases that seriously threaten the health of elderly people.They often occur together and affect each other.Osteoporosis is characterized by bone loss,increased skeletal fragility,and a tendency of pathological bone fracture,which greatly increases the length of hospitali-zation,disability and death risk of elderly people,and has an adverse effect on the daily life and psychology of the patients.Depression is common in the elderly population.It is a common mental disorder in elderly people,and seriously damages the physical and mental health of the elderly patients.From the perspective of the disease mechanism,imbalance of yin and yang in kidney,and the relationship between kidney-brain-bone,the correlation between osteoporosis and depression was discussed,and it is concluded that imbalance between yin and yang in kidney is the common disease mechanism.Kidney,brain and bone are connected with each other in meridians and collaterals,kidney essence is the material basis for the function of bone and brain,and kidney deficiency is an important pathological factor in osteoporosis and depression.
