This paper explores the mechanism of acupuncture Qiao meridian in treating post-stroke depression by combining the physiological function of Qiao meridian and the etiology and pathogenesis of post-stroke depression.The fundamental causes of post-stroke depression include deficiency of kidney essence,loss of brain and mind function,and loss of support for the heart.Qiao meridian runs through the kidney,heart,and brain,receiving blood and energy from Chong meridian to supplement kidney essence,transmitting essence and blood to the brain to nourish the mind,regulating ying qi and wei qi to calm the mind,and is closely related to the pathogenesis of post-stroke depression.In terms of treatment,Qiao meridian is responsible for regulating the physiological function of the kidney to regulate emotion,ensuring sleeping by regulating wei qi,and regulating the movement of solar terms by promoting facial features,which are closely related to the typical symptoms of post-stroke depression.Post-stroke depression belongs to the co-morbidity of physical and mental health,and the mutual patho-genic relationship between physical and mental health is an important characteristic.Treatment of physical and mental is an important means of clinical diagnosis and treatment.Acupuncture of Qiao meridian can affect the heart and brain,relieving physical symptoms and mental depression.
