As one of the characteristic diagnosis methods of traditional Chinese medicine,tongue diagnosis is of great significance in the diagnosis,treatment and prevention of liver disease.Patients with chronic liver disease have different tongue image changes in different pathological stages.Tongue color can reflect the severity of liver disease,such as light red tongue in remission stage,red tongue in the attack stage,and blue-purple tongue in severe liver disease.Tongue shape can reflect the state of liver disease,among which long tongue and cylindrical tongue are the common shapes of chronic liver disease,tongue margin enlargement or liver accumulation frequently indicates the space occupying lesions of chronic liver disease.Tongue coating is related to the severity and prognosis of liver disease,and can also assist in the diagnosis of bacterial infection of chronic liver disease.In addition,tongue image is also of great significance in the clinical medication guidance of chronic liver disease,which can guide the clinical medication from multi-aspect and multi-perspective.
