Exploring the Pathogenesis and Acupuncture Treatment of Post Stroke Cognitive Impairment Based on"Toxic Damage to Brain Collaterals-Transformation in Accord with Constitution"Theory
The theory of toxic damage to brain collaterals takes toxin and collaterals as the starting point to explore the physiological and pathological relationship between cerebral collaterals,qi and blood, cerebral spirit and body function. The transformation in accord with constitution theory explains the pathogenesis of disease from the perspectives of nature of pathogenic factors transformation and transformation in accord with constitution.Post stroke cognitive impairment(PSCI)emphasizes the potential causal relationship between stroke and cognitive function, which is more compatible with the theory of toxic damage to brain collateral, and its development, prognosis and clinical manifestations are in line with transforma-tion in accord with constitution theory. Therefore, the pathogenesis and acupuncture treatment of PSCI can be discussed from the theory of"toxic damage to brain collaterals-transformation in accord with constitution".Therefore,it is believed that turbidity toxin is the material basis for the onset of PSCI,and brain collateral damage and loss of mental health are the key factors.Based on this, detoxification and unblocking of the collaterals are the primary ways to treat PSCI,if the toxin is eliminated, the collaterals will no longer be damaged and can be easily restored,if the collaterals are unblocked,qi and blood will be smooth, and the spirit will be restored automatically. In addition,in the fluctuating period of PSCI,the pathogenic factors are mostly transformed from fire and accumulated into heat toxicity,so the treatment is to clear heat and purge fire.PSCI in the stable period is mainly transformed from physical constitution, which varies from person to person, and the treatment should focus on regulating the constitution.
