Clinical Observation of Heat-Sensitive Moxibustion Combined with Acupoint Application in Treatment of Posterior Circulation Ischemic Vertigo
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of heat-sensitive moxibustion combined with acupoint application in the treatment of posterior circulation ischemic vertigo. Methods:A total of 60 patients with posterior circulation ischemic vertigo were divided into the control group and the observation group according to random number table method, with 30 patients in each group. On the basis of routine intervention, the control group was given heat-sensitive moxibustion treatment(acupoint sensitization stimulation was performed at selected acupoints),and the observation group was given acupoint appli-cation treatment on the basis of the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for 2 courses.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome score of vertigo and vertebra basilar hemodynamic index[mean blood flow velocity(Vm),pulsation index(PI)and resistance index(RI)]before and after treatment were compared between the two groups to evaluate the clinical effect. Results:After treatment, the TCM syndrome scores of vertigo in both groups were lower than those before treatment(P<0.05),and the observation group was lower than the control group(P<0.01).After the first and second course of treatment,Vm of left and right vertebral artery and basilar artery in the observation group those were higher than those before treatment, and higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After the second course of treatment,PI and RI in the observation group were lower than those before treatment, and lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After the second course of treatment,Vm of left and right vertebral artery and basilar artery in the control group were higher than those before treatment,PI and RI of basilar artery were lower than those before treatment(P<0.05).The total effective rate was 93.33%in the observation group and 70.00%in the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Heat-sensitive moxibustion combined with acupoint application can effectively improve vertebrobasilar artery blood supply, regulate cerebrovascular flow and relieve clinical symptoms in patients with posterior circulation ischemic vertigo.
