Professor PANG He believes that erysipelas of lower limbs can be divided into acute stage and chronic stage according to the course of disease.The acute stage is caused by fire poison mixed with dampness,which is mostly excess syndrome.If the acute stage is not treated in time,it will turn into chronic erysipelas,which is characterized by spleen-deficiency with stasis,and is the syndrome of deficiency in origin and excess in superficiality.In terms of the treatment,the primary goal is dispelling evils and flexibly choosing the method of clearing heat and detoxification,cooling blood and detoxification,nourishing yin and clearing heat.Meanwhile,attention is given to inducing the evils to go out,releasing pathogenic factor outwards or dissolving from urine or feces.In addition,in the whole process of disease,reasonable prescription should be selected according to the severity of humidity and heat,and emphasize promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis,pay attention to the care of the spleen and stomach,and actively prevent the changes of syndrome.
