A Case Report on Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine Treatment of Blastic Plasmacytoid Dendritic Cell Neoplasm with Hemophagocytic Syndrome
Blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm(BPDCN)has an urgent onset and poor prognosis,and there is no specific diagnosis and treatment guideline or expert consensus.In this case,the hemophagocytic syndrome-1994(HLH-1994)regimen was used to treat the hemophagocytic syndrome for 3 courses after the diagnosis of the disease,and chemotherapy with CHOP regimen was used to treat BPDCN after the clinical complete remission was achieved.Chinese medicine and appropriate techniques of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)such as fire dragon moxibustion were involved in the whole treatment process.The whole TCM treatment can be divided into 3 stages.During the initial stage,the treatment principles were supplement-ing qi and tonifying deficiency,clearing heat and detoxification,cooling blood and dispersing blood stasis,and the prescription was modified Xijiao Dihuang Decoction(犀角地黄汤).In the middle stage,the treatment principles were supplementing qi and blood,invigorating spleen and eliminating food stagnation,and supplementing essence and replenishing marrow,and the prescription was modified Guipi Decoction(归脾汤).The last stage was for consolidation of treatment,the treatment principles were supplementing qi and eliminating phlegm to strengthen spleen,tonifying kidney and strengthening bones,and the prescription was modified Xiangsha Liujun Decoction(香砂六君汤)
