By analyzing the syndrome manifestations of"heat invading the blood chamber"in Treatise on Cold Pathogenic Diseases,it is proposed that the blood chamber is a functional aggregate of viscera and meridians closely related to the uterus,with the thoroughfare vessel,liver and their meridians as the center.The condition of"heat invading the blood chamber"is caused by deficiency in the blood chamber,where pathogenic factors enter from the surface and transform into heat,infiltrating the blood chamber.This leads to disordered circulation and dysfunction of qi and blood in the blood chamber,resulting in a series of pathological states.The causes are related to external influences and menstrual periods,and the affected areas are not limited to just the uterus but also involve the upper and middle energizer.Typical clinical manifestations include delirium at dusk and fullness below chest and hypochondrium.The treatments mainly focus on harmonizing qi and blood,reconciling the pivot,and expelling excessive heat.Its diagnostic and therapeutic principles can guide the treatments of related clinical diseases such as mental disorders and premenstrual syndrome.
