Director CHEN Zhongpei believes that humans have"three tunnels"and"nine orifices".The"three tunnels"refer to the tunnel of original qi,the tunnel of body fluid,and the tunnel of waste materials.The"nine orifices"refer to macroscopic and microscopic structures of pores and gateways,including acupuncture points,sweat pore,interstices,and membrane source in the human body.Based on the above views,CHEN Zhongpei proposes that weak original qi is a prerequisite for the formation of pulmonary nodules,and the obstruction of the tunnel of original qi and the tunnel of body fluid in the upper energizer is the core pathogenesis of pulmonary nodules.The mutual combination of phlegm and blood stasis as well as the blockage of orifices and collaterals is the pathological characteristics of pulmonary nodules.In terms of treatment,it is proposed to focus on tonifying original qi and regulating the two tunnels,and supplemented by resolving phlegm,dissipating mass,promoting blood circulation,and opening up the orifices.By addressing both the root causes and symptoms,lung nodules can be significantly reduced or eliminated.One proved case is attached.
