Stagnated heat is a pathological factor formed by the combination of blood heat and blood stasis,which widely exists in different stages of external pathogenic heat diseases and internal miscellaneous diseases.Children have abundant blood vessels in their five apertures,and pathogenic factors invading into their body are easy to turn to heat,resulting in various conditions such as abscesses and swelling.These conditions characterized by significant swelling and a dark red color are difficult to be cleared up completely and tend to recur repeatedly,which aligns with the pathological characteristics of stagnated heat.Therefore,it can be inferred that stagnated heat is one of the important pathological mechanisms in ophthalmology and otorhinolaryngology diseases in Children.Based on the theory of stagnated heat,this paper reexamines Danggui Liuhuang Decoction(当归六黄汤)and innovatively puts forward the application of it in treating children's ophthalmology and otorhinolaryngology diseases.Taking common chil-dren's ophthalmology and otorhinolaryngology diseases such as chalazion,chronic apical periodontitis,and chronic tonsillitis as examples,this paper discusses the diagnosis and treatment ideas of using Danggui Liuhuang Decoction to treat stagnated heat syndrome in these diseases,explaining the concept of treating different diseases with the same method in traditional Chinese medicine.
