Progress of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine Prevention and Treatment of Hand-Foot Syndrome
Hand-foot syndrome is a specific cutaneous toxic reaction of tumor patients after chemotherapy or molecular targeted therapy.It is characterized by redness,swelling,pain,desquamation,ulcers,numbness,pain and other paresthesia.The traditional Chinese medicine treatment of hand-foot syndrome includes mainly oral administration of decoction,traditional Chinese medicine soaking,supplemented by non-pharmacological techniques such as acupuncture and moxibustion.Western medicine mainly focuses on symptomatic treatment using pharmacological interventions,such as controlling inflammation and improving blood supply,in conjunction with comprehensive measures such as health education and dose control.Studies have found that traditional Chinese and western medicine have similar mechanism of action in the prevention and treatment of hand-foot syndrome,therefore,the combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine is expected to be a reliable choice.There are 69 references.
