Parkinson's disease(PD)is one of the three major disability diseases in the middle-aged and elderly,it is caused by multiple factors involved in the degeneration and death of dopaminergic neurons in the brain.A large amount of evidence shows that mitochondria are the core links of cellular energy metabolism, and mitochondrial homeostasis may play an important role in the occurrence and progression of PD.In view of this, based on related studies, this paper expounds the basic structure and function of mitochondria, and analyzes the role of mitochondrial homeostasis regulation in the pathogenesis and treatment of PD from the perspectives of mitochondrial dynamics, mitochondrial autophagy, mitochondrial Ca2+disorder and mitochondrial oxidative stress, and summarizes the role of traditional Chinese medicine and its extracts in protecting mitochondrial function and maintaining mitochondrial homeostasis, and delaying the progression of PD,in order to provide new ideas for the future clinical treatment of PD.There are 59 references.
