Chronic cough refers to a disease with cough as the main or the only symptom and the course of the disease lasts more than 8 weeks.Prolonged cough will not only affect the normal life,but also lead to bronchial rupture,mediastinal emphysema and other complications in severe cases.In recent years,traditional Chinese medicine has played an important role in the treatment of chronic cough.Many studies have explored the mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine in preventing and treating chronic cough.Studies have shown that traditional Chinese medicine can relieve cough symptoms by reducing the secretion of inflammatory factors and inhibiting the release of inflammatory mediators by neuropeptides to reducing airway neurogenic inflammatory response.In order to clarify the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of chronic cough,this paper summarizes several key links in the treatment of chronic cough,and points out the mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine internal treatment,massage,acupuncture,moxibustion,cupping,ear point pressure and other therapies in regulating airway neurogenic inflammatory response to treat chronic cough.There are 62 references.
