Adult Onset Still's Disease(AOSD)is a group of syndromes,which are mainly associated with fever,joint pain,and(or)arthritis,rash,myalgia and leukocytosis,as well as sudden and acute onset,serious illness,easy to relapse,which seriously affect the quality of life and health of patients.TANG Xianping summarizes his many years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of AOSD by applying combination of disease and syndrome model(specific disease and specific prescription)and believes that the disease belongs to the"arthralgia"category,the pathogenesis is characterized by deficiency of qi and yin,intermingled dampness-heat and phlegm stasis,the treatment should focus on nourishing qi and yin,clearing heat,reducing dampness and detoxification,eliminating phlegm,removing stasis and dredging collaterals,and a specific prescription for the specific disease is prescribed—Qingzhu Decoction(青竹汤),which achieves good curative effect with clinical flexibile modification.
