Meta Analysis of Effect of Exercise training and Rehabilitation Therapy on Stroke Patients
The aim of this study was to assess the effects of exercise training and rehabilitation therapy on maximal aerobic capacity and motor function in stroke patients. To this end, through a comprehensive search of PubMed,EBSCO Host,Elsevier,Springer and other databases, the literature of randomized controlled trials on exercise intervention in stroke patients up to 2023 was collected. After evaluating the methodological quality of the Cochrane bias risk assessment tool, statistical analysis of the data was performed using RevMan software.A total of 10 literatures were included in the meta-analysis,with a total sample size of 368 patients, all of whom were stroke patients.Through the analysis,it was found that the literature had heterogeneity in the maximum aerobic capacity of stroke patients, while the heterogeneity in motor function of stroke patients could be ignored. The random effects model was used for analysis, and the comparison between the intensive exercise group and the daily rehabilitation treatment group showed that the maximum aerobic capacity MD=2.36(95%CI,I2=69%,P=0.000 7).6 min walking distance MD=51.36(95%CI,I2=33%,P=0.000 2).Taking these findings into account,it is concluded that strengthening exercise has a significant positive impact on improving the maximum aerobic capacity and motor function of stroke patients, which provides a strong support and guidance for rehabilitation treatment of stroke patients.
