Research Progress on the Function and Regulation of Intestinal Flora in Human Body
As the microbial community residing in the human body, intestinal flora plays an important role in food digestion, regulation of intestinal health, and immunological diseases. Therefore,we review the current research findings on the relationship between intestinal flora and human health, emphasise the role of intestinal flora in food digestion and nutrient absorption, immune regulation, metabolic diseases and therapeutic interventions, and summarise the problems of current research and future research directions. The results of these studies play an important role in understanding the relationship between intestinal flora and human health, and provide important references for intestinal flora regulation and intervention therapy.
