Comparison and Analysis of Two Versions of Platform Sutra Published by Li Shouyue
The Platform Sutra was originally inscribed by the disciple of Quanzhen Longmen sect of Taoism,Li Shouyue and others in 1687.There are many versions afterwards,the versions reflected the harmonious relationship between Chan Buddhism and Taoism to a certain extent.In addition,Li Shouyue's versions was based on the version edited by Deqing and his two disciples,Tong'an and Tongjiong,which may be earlier in the Deqing's versions.By comparing Li Shou Yue's two versions,it is not only helpful to understand the circulation and historical background of versions,but also to understand the types of editions published by Deqing and its changes in the early period.
