Lingnan Poet Pan Feisheng's Literature Acceptance to Nalan Poetry
Pan Feisheng is an influential Lingnan poetry poet in the late Qing Dynasty and one of the important recipients of Nalan poetry. His early academic background and emotional experiences similar to those of Nalan Xingde are important reasons for his dedication to learning Nalan poetry.Pan Feixing's acceptance of Nalan poetry is reflected in the adoption of imagery, the imitation of deep affection, the inheritance of new contents of elegy, and the rhyming and wording imitation.Based on imitation,Pan poetry has developed further with new changes, such as enriching its aesthetic connotation with diverse poetic styles and expanding its poetic state with exotic colors. His acceptance of Nalan poetry was not only a footnote to the shift of interest in late Qing poetry studies from Zhexi to Changzhou poetry, but also promoted the classicization of Nalan and Qing poetry.
