The book Twelve Letters to Youth written by Zhu Guangqian during his trip to Europe contains rich ideas on youth aesthetic education,demonstrating a distinct tendency towards praxis of aesthetic education.Zhu Guangqian believes that the fundamental essence of youth education lies in experiencing Nietzsche's"artistic life",and pursuing the transcendental meaning of life on the basis of liberating emotion and improving artistic taste.But unlike Nietzsche's reverence for tragic consciousness,Zhu Guangqian simultaneously combines the Dionysian spirit with the Confucian culture of ritual and music,believing that young people need to lead to an aesthetic realm of harmony through"tranquility"and"subtlety".Twelve Letters to Youth not only reflects the mutual learning of aesthetic education resources between China and the West,but also narrows the distance with young people in a way rich in dialogue awareness,committing to promote the overall spiritual progress of the national community through youth aesthetic education.Its ideological paradigm and practical significance still have profound significance for today's aesthetic education.
