The New Teaching Mode of"Specializing in One,Learning the Basics of Many"Optional Class System Integrating Large Unit and Optional Class System Under the Background of the New Sports Curriculum Standard
The 2022 edition of the new curriculum standard puts forward the new curriculum concept of"teaching, diligent practice and frequent competition",and proposes to promote the new teaching model of"large unit teaching"and"physical education optional class system teaching",which provides a new teaching method for the physical education curriculum teaching reform. It also provides a new possibility for solving the old problems of physical education teaching, such as"fragmented teaching,low-level repetition, superficial teaching, giving up halfway".However, simply having"18 hours of large unit teaching"is not enough to fundamentally solve the problem of fragmented physical education teaching. Therefore,an effective and feasible"selective specialized physical education teaching"namely the"physical education optional class system teaching"has become an effective teaching model to implement the concept of"teaching, diligent practice, and frequent competition".In order to meet the requirements of the new curriculum standard for teaching six types of sports projects, this paper proposes a solution that integrates large units and optional class systems into a"specializing in one, learning the basics of many"optional class system. It fully complies with the teaching model requirements of the 2022 version of the new physical education curriculum standard. The"specializing in one, learning the basics of many"optional class system allows students to focus on mastering one sports project effectively while also exposing them to a wide range of sports projects to broaden their sports experience. This ensures a win-win effect of students do not lose focus on their main sport while also participating in multiple sports at an appropriate level, and more precise mastery in specialized learning and moderate learning in multiple areas.Teaching experiments have shown that the new teaching model of"specializing in one, learning the basics of many"optional class system can effectively improve students' athletic skills, cultivate interest in physical education, establish a lifelong commitment to sports, offer diverse options within schools, provide opportunities for participation in multiple sports teams, assign dedicated teachers for each sport, and promote organic integration and unity across different stages of physical education courses.
