Spatio-temporal Characteristics of Coupling and Coordination between Sports Industry and Economic Development in China
The positive interaction between sports industry and economic development is of great significance to promote sports industry to become the pillar industry of national economy.Taking 31 provincial administrative regions of China as the research unit, this paper adopts entropy method, coupling coordination degree model and exploratory spatial data analysis to explore the spatio-temporal coupling pattern and the dynamic evolution law of spatial correlation between sports industry and economic development from 2009 to 2021.The results show that:(1)The development of sports industry presented the general characteristics of significant regional differences and fluctuations. The central region had fast growth and great potential, while the western region and the northeast region were lower than the national average level. The characteristics of regional imbalance in economic development were prominent, and the northeast region showed a downward trend, while other regions maintained a growing trend.(2)In terms of time, the coupling coordination degree between sports industry and economic development rose slowly, but there was no hierarchical transition;in terms of space, the coupling coordination degree of sports industry and economic development had a pattern of solidification and dynamic change, the east was dominated by good coordination and good coordination, and the serious imbalance was mainly distributed in the west and northeast.(3)The coupling coordination degree of sports industry and economic development showed a significant spatial autocorrelation. The high-high agglomeration area was mainly concentrated in the eastern region, while the low-low agglomeration area was mainly located in the western region, and the spatial correlation pattern was relatively stable. On this basis, the corresponding advice is given on following the concept of coordinated development, grasping the law of spatial differentiation and strengthening institutional supply.
