Responses of Radial Growth of Pinus Tabuliformis to Climate Change in Guandi Mountain Forest Area of Shanxi Province
The tree ring width data at different heights of 28 Pinus tabulaeformis in the Guandi Mountain forest area of Shanxi Province was measure, and the standard annual table for tree rings was established using ARSTAN software. The correlation between the ring width index and precipitation, temperature was analyzed. The results showed that the radial growth rate of Pinus tabulaeformis at different heights had different responses to climate. The radial growth rate of tree rings at heights of 0.0 m and 11.0m increased due to the increase of precipitation or temperature. The radial growth rate of tree rings at a height of 1.3 m slowed down due to the increase of precipitation and increased due to the increase of temperature. The radial growth rate of tree rings at a height of 3.0 m increased due to the increase of precipitation and the decrease of temperature. The radial growth of tree rings at a height of 5.0 m slowed down due to increase of precipitation or tempera-ture.The radial growth rate of tree rings at a height of 8.0 m increased due to the increase of precipitation or the increase of temperature in March, slowed down due to the increase of temperature in July.Overall,a moderate increase in precipita-tion and a moderate increase in temperature were beneficial for the radial growth of Pinus tabulaeformis.
