Effects of Topdressing Amount and Tree Shape on the Growth of Different Hippophae Rhamnoides Clones
Using excellent Hippophae rhamnoides clones from the artificial seabuckthorn garden of Jingshang Forest Farm of National Forest Administration Bureau of Taihang Mountain in Shanxi Province as materials, the effects of topdressing a-mount and tree shape on the growth of different Hippophae rhamnoides clones were studied through orthogonal experiments. The results showed that clone was the most important factor affecting the growth rate of new shoots, leaf length, leaf width, leaf length to width ratio and fruit longitudinal diameter of Hippophae rhamnoides, and was a secondary factor affecting the growth rate of fruit transverse diameter. The topdressing amount was the most important factor affecting the growth rate of fruit transverse diameter, and was a secondary factor affecting the growth rate of new shoots, leaf length, leaf length to width ratio and fruit longitudinal diameter, with the least impact on the growth rate of leaf width.Tree shape was a seconda-ry factor affecting the growth rate of leaf width, with the least impact on other indicators. The optimal combinations that af-fected the growth rate of new shoots, leaf length, leaf width, leaf length to width ratio, fruit transverse diameter and fruit longitudinal diameter were A1B4C2,A2B4C1,A3B1C2 or A3B2C1,A4B4C2,A3B4C1,A4B4C1.
