Effect of Exogenous ABA on the Growth and Physiological Characteristics of Malus Robusta Seedlings under Salt Stress
5 treatments including blank control(CK),salt stress(N1),salt stress+20 mg/L ABA(N2),salt stress+35 mg/L ABA(N3)and salt stress+50 mg/L ABA(N4)were set up under potted conditions to study the effects of ABA on the growth and physiological characteristics of Malus robusta seedlings under salt stress. The results showed that salt stress treatment significantly reduced the plant height, stem diameter, net photosynthetic rate, total sugar content and ami-no acid content of Malus robusta compared to the control, and increased the SOD activity and POD activity of Malus robus-ta.Exogenous application of ABA increased the plant height, stem diameter, net photosynthetic rate,SOD activity,POD activity, total sugar content and amino acid content of Malus robusta under salt stress treatment.Overall comparison showed that 35 mg/L was an appropriate concentration of exogenous ABA for improving the physiological characteristics and promo-ting the growth of Malus robusta seedlings.
