Impact of Climate Change on the Seed Mass of Syringa Reticulata
In the main distribution area of Syringa reticulata in Shanxi Province,67 individual plants from 13 provenances were selected to determine the seed mass.Environmental factor values closely related to climate change were obtained through remote sensing data and existing databases.A linear mixed effects model was applied to study the impact of envi-ronmental factors on Syringa reticulata seed mass. The results showed that the seed mass of Syringa reticulata was 13.6 mg±2.7 mg,and its coefficient of variation(CV)was 34.3±9.0.The seed mass of Syringa reticulata increased with the in-crease of near ground CO2 concentration and soil N content, increased with the increase of annual precipitation and the de-crease of soil P content, and increased with the increase of soil N content and the decrease of soil P content. The seed mass CV of Syringa reticulata increased with the increase of near ground CO2 concentration, and increased with the increase of near ground CO2 concentration and the decrease of annual precipitation. From the perspective of impact, the interaction effect between N and P had the greatest impact on seed mass, followed by the interaction effect between CO2 and N,as well as the interaction effect between AP and P.The impact of CO2 and its interaction with AP on seed quality CV was similar.
