Effects of Gibberellin on Seed Germination and Seedling Physiological Characteristics of Robinia Pseudoacacia
5 treatments with gibberellin concentrations of 0.00 g/L(control),0.10 g/L,0.25 g/L,0.40 g/L and 0.55 g/L were set up to study the effects of different concentrations of gibberellin on the seed germination and seedling physiological characteristics of Robinia pseudoacacia. The results showed that compared with the control, treatment with dif-ferent concentrations of gibberellin increased the germination rate, germination potential, germination index, vitality index and relative germination rate of Robinia pseudoacacia seeds. It also increased the root length, seedling height, fresh weight, chlorophyll a content, chlorophyll b content and total chlorophyll content of Robinia pseudoacacia seedlings,as well as the soluble sugar content, starch content and soluble protein content in seedlings and roots of Robinia pseudoacacia.Overall,a concentration of 0.40 g/L gibberellin was suitable for promoting seed germination and seedling growth of Robinia pseudoaca-cia.
