Influence of Low Phosphorous Stress on Physiological Characteristics of Inbred Line and Crossbreeds Seedlings of Maize
Physiological characteristics of different maize cultivars, including Mo17,B73 and their crossbreeds were investigated when treated with normal phosphorous and low phosphorous at seedling stage. The results were as follows:chlorophyll content,POD activity,MDA and proline content of maize seedlings increased at P deficiency, while soluble protein contents decreased,SOD activity of maize inbred line decreased, and their cossbreeds increased.Low-P tolerant index of other physiological indexes except SOD activity have no significant difference between inbred lines and crossbreeds. But low-P tolerant indexes of lots physiological indexes of Mo17 were the least and those of crossbreeds relatively high.
