Effect of Different Inducers Treatment of Pear on Honeybee Visiting Behavior
When there was competition flowers in pear blooms, bees didn't like visiting pear flowers,so three bee attractants,"FengWeiMei",Polynate and SuperBoost, were applied to increase the visiting activity of bees on pear blossoms. This study monitored the number of bees which visited the flowers,as well as the duration and frequency of the visits. The result showed that the peak time for bees to visit pear blossoms was in the morning, from 9:30 to 11:30;a smaller peak was observed in the afternoon, from 14:30 to 16:30.After treating with "FengWeiMei" and Polynate, the number of bees which visited flowers was higher than that of the control group, whereas the SuperBoost treated flowers showed a lower bee-visiting activity than that of the control group. On 24 March, the visiting frequencies of the "FengWeiMei",Polynate and SuperBoost groups were significantly higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05).On 26 March and 27 March,no significant differences in visiting frequency were observed among the groups(P > 0.05),although these were all higher than the control group,of which the effect of Polynate was the strongest. The effective flying time during flower visitation for "FengWeiMei",Polynate and SuperBoost groups were significantly higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05).Therefore,spraying "FengWeiMei",and hanging Polynate and SuperBoost on pear trees improved the visiting frequency of bees, the number of visited flowers, the proportion of effective flying time, and collection activity. This provides a theoretical reference for pear bees pollination.
