Effect of Exogenous Compound Pairing on Physiological Characteristics of Pakchoi under Low Temperature Stress
In order to investigate the effects of three exogenous substances including humic acid, trehalose, and Bacillus aryabhattai MB35-5 compound paring on the low temperature resistance of pakchoi,in this study, pakchoi was used as the experimental material. One room temperature treatment(T1)was set as the control, and three 4℃low temperature treatments were applied for root irrigation with clean water(T2),humic acid+trehalose(T3),humic acid+Bacillus Aryabhattai MB35-5(T4)to study the effects of different exogenous substance compound paring on the osmotic regulatory substances, biomass, antioxidant enzyme activity, and malondialdehyde content of pakchoi under low temperature stress. The results showed that compared with T1,the biomass and chlorophyll content of pakchoi treated with T2 were significantly reduced, while the osmotic regulatory substances, relative conductivity, antioxidant enzyme activity, and malondialdehyde content were significantly increased.Compared with T2,the plant height, leaf area, fresh weight of aboveground, fresh weight of underground, soluble sugar, soluble protein, proline, chlorophyll content, and POD,SOD,and CAT activities of T3 and T4 treatments were increased significantly in pakchoi. The root and leaf electrical conductivity, and malondialdehyde content of T3 and T4 treatments were reduced significantly in pakchoi. In summary, the combination of two exogenous substances could improve the low temperature resistance of pakchoi seedlings.Among them, humic Acid+trehalose significantly increased the biomass, chlorophyll content, and peroxidase activity of pakchoi, while reduced its relative conductivity and malondialdehyde content.Humic acid+Bacillus Aryabhattai MB35-5 played an important role in enhancing cell membrane stability and other aspects.
