Research on the Impact of Integration of the Yangtze River Delta Region on Urban Economic Resilience
Promoting regional integration and enhancing economic resilience are important ways to promote high-quality economic development and build a new development pattern.Based on the panel data of cities in the Yangtze River Delta region from 2011 to 2021,this paper empirically studies the wielding effect and mechanism of regional integration on urban economic resilience. The experimental results show that:(1)In the benchmark regression, regional integration can significantly enhance urban economic resilience, and this conclusion remains valid after passing various robustness tests;(2)The mechanism study shows that regional integration can indirectly enhance urban economic resilience through three pathways of factor flow, industrial structure optimization, and innovation effect;(3)The wielding effect of regional integration on urban economic resilience in the Yangtze River Delta region presents positive spatial spillover effect. Therefore,to enhance urban economic resilience,we should improve regional cooperation mechanism, promote city cooperation and connectivity;strengthen infrastructure construction, optimize factor flow mechanism;strengthen industrial innovation incentives and promote industrial structure upgrading;connect innovation and development, and promote technological and knowledge spillover.
