Preparation and Properties of Bio-Based Water Ink of Cardanol Modified Acrylic Acid Resin
A kind of the biobased cardanol modified acrylic acid resin was prepared from monomer of cardanol acrylate ester, methyl methacrylate(MMA),butyl acrylate(BA)and methacrylic acid(AA)by emulsion polymerization, with azodiisobutyronitrile(AIBN)as initiators, and further mixed with pigments to obtain bio-based water inks. The single factor methods and the orthogonal design methods were used to optimized the formula process. The structure and properties of biobased cardanol modified acrylic acid resin were characterized by FTIR,DSC,TG and the properties of the water-based inks were investigated. The results show that the optimum technological conditions for the synthesis of biobased cardanol modified acrylic acid resin are obtained as follows:reaction temperature of 85 ℃,reaction time of 6 h,the BA is 10mmol,nMMA:nBA=1.5:1~2:1,the cardanol acrylate ester is 16mmol,the AA is 70 mmol, the initiator is 4 mmol. The cardanol modified acrylic acid resin has good film forming ability, the glass transition temperature is 24.08 ℃,the hardness is 5H,the adhesion grade is 2.The hardness of prepared water-based ink coating is 5H,the adhesion grade is 1,and the water resistance grade is 4.
