The chronicle compilation should conform to the unique style,structure and basic norms of chronicles to en-sure a sound development of chronicles.According to the development process of old chronicles,the compilation principles alter with the style of the chronicle.On the basis of keeping to the principle of providing comprehensive and rich contents,the compilers of a chronicle must decide before the compilation whether to write in detail or briefly,whether to describe each part equally or highlight certain parts,how to make rational and meaningful innovation on the basis of inheriting the previous chronicles,and how to combine preciseness and utility.While making sure that the chronicle conforms to the basic norms,the compilers should decide the style first before formulating the principles of content selection,writing approaches,content distribution,etc.That is a basic condition for the compilation to have clear threads and a good order,and for the chronicle to have good quality.
