Chen Guangfu was a famous banker and financial entrepreneur in modem China,hailed as"Chinese J.P.Morgan".Recent years have seen constant research on Chen Guangfu's relations with the Shanghai Commercial and Savings Bank,the China Travel Service,and the Haiguang Library as well as his political activities.There are also many compre-hensive studies on his life.All these have undoubtedly and greatly enriched and deepened the research on him.However,in general,most of them are longitudinal research focused on himself,with little cross-sectional research on his interaction with others,and many parts of the research are weak or even blank.Therefore,the research on Chen Guangfu needs to be deepened continuously.The literature review of the previous research in the academic circles is intended to promote further research on Chen Guangfu.
