Based on a comprehensive and systematic investigation that combines literature research,interviews,and field surveys,this paper presents an overview of the status quo of traditional Chinese medicine cultural sites and relics in Shanghai.On the one hand,this paper analyses the sites and relics from the dimensions of time and space,thereby high-lighting their historical value and the features of their spatio-temporal distribution.On the other hand,the paper writes a nutshell description of the historical sites and relics in each administrative division,shedding light on historical facts that may pique the interest of relevant authorities and professionals in the fields of cultural heritage,ancient architecture,and traditional Chinese medicine for the conservation of these sites and relics.
