The third series of Zhongshan Literature compiled by the Museum of Dr.Sun Yat-sen et al.contains a large number of archival documents collected by the Zhongshan Archives.Among them is the Anecdotes of Tang Shaoyi("Anecdotes"),which was written by Mo Jipeng,a modern democratic revolutionary from Dongguan,at Shan Kwong Hotel in Hong Kong in 1949 and submitted to the Zhongshan County Literature Committee. In the Anecdotes,Mr.Mo recalls ten anecdotes about Tang Shaoyi, which can serve as supple mentary materials for understanding Mr.Tang's life experience, interpersonal relationships, living habits, and political stance, among others. The Anecdotes was originally planned to be published in the"Zhongshan Miscellany"column of the third series of Zhongshan Literature by the Zhongshan County Liter-ature Committee in mid-1949.However,due to the closure ofthe journal and the committee, the Anecdotes did not come out.Compiled by the Zhongshan County Literature Committee,Zhongshan Literaturewas an important platform for releasing the first draft of the new chronicle of Zhongshan County and the chronicle and historical materials collected.
