The impact of advanced manufacturing on industrial land price:insights from market-oriented land allocation
This study analyzes the impact of enhanced market-oriented allocation of land factors on the rise of industrial land prices amidst the transition of local governments from a"competition strategy"to an"excellent strategy"in promoting advanced manufacturing.Using regression model and mediation effect analysis, this paper explored the relationship between the development of advanced manufacturing, changes in government behavior and the rise of industrial land prices. This paper finds that:firstly, with the gradual exhaustion of the development model based on land, the competition strategy of attracting capital and income tax with low industrial land price has failed;secondly, allocating more land for advanced manufacturing significantly boosts industrial land prices;finally, the improvement in the marketization level of land allocation is a potential mechanism influencing the development of advanced manufacturing.Advanced manufacturing firms more emphasis on an open and transparent market environment when selecting sites. The study contributes to understanding the relationship between advanced manufacturing and industrial land prices, filling a research gap and providing insights into market-oriented land allocation.
