Identification and analysis of Shanghai urban functional zones combined open street map and POI data
The spatial distribution and characteristics of urban functional zones are important for the scientific urban planning and management of megacity.This study firstly recognized minimum study unit by Shanghai’s Open Street Map(OSM)roads and water body data,and the Point of Interest(POI)data.Then,we calculated kernel density and identified the spatial distribution and characteristics of Shanghai’s urban functional zones.The results show that,the distribution of various urban functional zones represent characteristics of"one core and multiple sites".There are 29 types of urban functional zones in Shanghai,mainly comprehensive functional zones and mixed functional zones.The identification result is consistent with the actual situation and can be used as reference for urban planning and management in Shanghai.
