Reliability and Validity of a Self-rating Core Competence Questionnaire for Cardiac Intervention Nurses
Objective To test the reliability and validity of a self-rating core competence questionnaire for cardiac intervention nurses. Methods In November 2022,534 cardiac intervention nurses nationwide were assessed with the self-rating core competence questionnaire, and subsequent analysis was conducted to test the reliability and validity of the questionnaire. Results The self-rating core competence questionnaire for cardiac intervention nurses was composed of 45 items in 5 dimensions.Exploratory factor analysis revealed that the cumulative variance contribution rate was 71.447%and the factor loading of each item in the corresponding dimension was 0.538-0.856.Confirmatory factor analysis showed that the modified ratio of chi-square/degree of freedom was 2.683,the comparative fit index was 0.901 and the non-normed fit index was 0.889.For the questionnaire as a whole, the Cronbach's alpha was 0.973 and the split-half reliability was 0.922;for each dimension, the Cronbach's alpha was 0.844-0.964,the split-half reliability was 0.780-0.946 and the test-retest reliability was 0.681-1.000.Conclusion The self-rating core competence questionnaire for cardiac intervention nurses exhibits robust reliability and validity. It is suitable for the self-rating of core competence in cardiac intervention nurses and serves as a valuable tool for nurse administrators in optimizing human resource allocation.
