Analysis of the Incidence of Hypothermia in Patients Undergoing Laparoscopic Colorectal Cancer Radical Resection During Anesthesia Recovery
Objective To explore the incidence and risk factors associated with hypothermia in patients undergoing laparoscopic colorectal cancer radical resection during anesthesia recovery. Methods A total of 270 patients were selected by convenience sampling who underwent laparoscopic colorectal cancer radical resection in a Grade Ⅲ-A hospital in Shanghai from September 2022 to February 2023.General information and surgical information were collected from the patients and analyzed for risk factors associated with hypothermia during anesthesia recovery by univariate and multivariate logistic regression. Results Among the 270 patients,84(31.1%)experienced hypothermia during anesthesia recovery.Logistic regression analysis revealed several independent risk factors for hypothermia in patients undergoing laparoscopic colorectal cancer radical resection during anesthesia recovery:1)advanced age,2)prolonged preoperative fasting,3)excessive intraoperative fluid replacement, and 4)prolonged anesthesia;the analysis also identified protective factors:1)high body mass index, and 2)high basal body temperature. Conclusion The incidence of hypothermia is high in patients undergoing laparoscopic colorectal cancer radical resection during anesthesia recovery.Clinical healthcare providers should remain vigilant, identify high-risk patients as early as possible, and take corresponding prevention and response measures targeting the risk factors associated with hypothermia to accelerate patients'postoperative rehabilitation.
