Effect of Empowerment Education Combined with Problem-oriented Nursing in Interventional Thera-py for Liver Cancer
Objective To explore the effect of empowerment education combined with problem-oriented nursing in interventional therapy for liver cancer.Methods Patients were selected by convenience sampling who underwent interventional therapy for liver cancer in a hospital in Ganzhou City from August 2021 to August 2022.They were grouped based on their sequence of admission.Those admitted from August to December 2021 were included in the control group(n=33)while those admitted from January to August 2022 were included in the observation group(n=33).The control group was given routine nursing intervention for three consecutive months,while the observation group was given empowerment education combined with problem-oriented nursing intervention for three consecutive months.The patients were investigated by using the Health Belief Questionnaire,Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale,Hamilton Depression Rating Scale,Morisky Medication Adherence Scale and EORTC Quality of Life Questionnaire.The scores were compared between the groups.Results After three months of intervention,the scores of health belief level,medication adherence and quality of life in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05);the scores of anxiety and depression in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of empowerment education and problem-oriented nursing helps patients undergoing interventional therapy for liver cancer to construct health beliefs,maintain a healthy psychological state,enhance medication adherence and improve their quality of life.
