Effect of Collateral Massage Combined with Acupuncture and Moxibustion on Functional Rehabilita-tion of Stroke Patients with Hemiplegia
Objective To explore the effect of collateral massage combined with acupuncture and moxibustion on stroke patients with hemiplegia.Methods A total of 74 stroke patients with hemiplegia were selected who were admitted to Jiujiang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2020 to January 2022.They were divided into two groups(n=37 each)using a random number table.The control group was given routine rehabilitation training,while the observation group was given collateral massage combined with acupuncture and moxibustion on this basis.After 3 months of intervention,the extremity function,balance function,activities of daily living and quality of life were evaluated and compared between the two groups using the Fugl-Meyer Assessment(FMA),Berg Balance Scale(BBS),Modified Barthel Index(MBI)and 36-Item Short Form Health Survey(SF-36).Result After intervention,the scores of FMA,ADL,BBS and SF-36 were improved in both groups,and the scores in the observation group were superior to those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Collateral massage combined with acupuncture and moxibustion can improve the extremity function,balance function,activities of daily living and quality of life of stroke patients with hemiplegia.
