Construction of an Evaluation Indicator System for Occupational Protection of Clinical Nurses Against Needlestick injuries
Objective To construct an evaluation indicator system for occupational protection of clinical nurses against needlestick injuries(NSIs),aiming to provide a reference for enhancing the quality of occupational protection of nurses against NSIs.Methods From June to September 2023,an evaluation indicator system for occupational protection of clinical nurses against NSIs was drafted based on literature research;2 rounds of consultation were conducted by the Delphi method with 21 experts in nosocomial infection control and nursing management;the system was revised and finalized according to expert opinions and the weight was determined for each indicator.Results For the two rounds of expert consultation,the positive coefficients were 95.2%and 100%,the authoritative coefficients were 0.875 and 0.870,and Kendall's coefficients of concordance were 0.252 and 0.128,respectively.The final evaluation indicator system for occupational protection of clinical nurses against NSIs includes 6 first-level indicators(safety culture,institutional assurance,working environment,operation,PPE,supervision and assessment),12 second-level indicators and 32 third-level indicators.Conclusion The evaluation indicator system for occupational protection of clinical nurses against NSIs,developed through literature research and expert consultation,is reliable and scientific.It is a valuable reference for evaluating the quality of occupational protection of nurses against NSIs.
