In May 2024,the Shanghai Nursing Association issued the association standard Position Management for Disabled Patients to address existing challenges in position management for disabled patients and standardize the nursing techniques involved in position management.This article interprets the association standard from its development background,development process,main characteristics,contents and recommendations for its clinical application and promotion.It aims to assist nurses in medical and non-medical institutions at all levels in comprehending and implementing the standard,with the goal of enhancing the quality of position management for disabled patients and promoting their safety.
