CiteSpace-based Research Hotspot and Trend Analysis of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery in China
Objective To analyze the hotspots and trends of enhanced recovery after surgery(ERAS)in China, aiming to provide a reference for subsequent research. Methods Articles published in core journals from January 2000 to September 2023 were retrieved from CNKI and Wanfang Data using the following search terms:ERAS,enhanced recovery, enhanced recovery after surgery, fast recovery, fast rehabilitation after sur-gery and accelerated recovery.CiteSpace software was used for bibliometrics and visualized analysis of in-cluded articles. Results The number of publications on ERAS findings in core sci-tech journals showed an upward trend. The journal with the most publications was the Chinese Journal of Modern Nursing. The research institute with the highest number of publications was the Thoracic Surgery Department at West China Hospital of Sichuan University.Core authors contributed 17.2%of the total publications but the core author group has not yet been established.Current research hotspots included perioperative period, fast recovery, nursing and laparoscopy.Emerging directions included pre-rehabilitation after gastric cancer surgery, ambulatory surgery for lung tumors, rehabilitation care of the elderly, expert consensus and evidence-based nursing. Conclusion The ERAS research in China needs to strengthen interdisciplinary cooperation, promote the formation of a group of core authors, and focus on emerging research directions such as pre-rehabilitation,evidence-based nursing and expert consensus, aiming to better facilitate clinical decision-making and patient recovery and pro-mote the wide promotion and application of ERAS in China and even around the world.
