Latent Profile Analysis on Perceived Overqualification in Nurses with Master's Degrees and Influenc-ing Factors
Objective To explore the latent categories of perceived overqualification in nurses with master's degrees and analyze influencing factors. Methods From December 2022 to June 2023,243 in-service nurses with master's degrees were selected by convenience sampling from 3 Grade Ⅲ-A hospitals in Hunan Province. They were investigated using the General Information Questionnaire,a perceived overqualification scale,a work withdrawal scale and a knowledge-sharing intention scale.Mplus 8.7 software was used to analyze the la-tent profile of perceived overqualification, and multivariate logistic regression was used to analyze the influenc-ing factors of the latent categories of perceived overqualification. Results The perceived overqualification in nurses with master's degrees could be divided into 3 latent categories:low-level group(n=121),medium-level group(n=41)and high-level group(n=81).Logistic regression analysis showed that being married, being male, seeking jobs 1 to 3 times and exhibiting lower work withdrawal were the influencing factors of low-level per-ceived overqualification in nurses with master's degrees(P<0.05 for all);seeking a job once and having higher share-knowledge intention were the influencing factors of medium-level perceived overqualification in nurses with master's degrees(P<0.05 for all). Conclusion There is heterogeneity in the perceived overqualification among nurses with master's degrees.Nurse administrators should take targeted measures based on the influenc-ing factors and characteristics of different categories,so as to maximize their talents in clinical practice.
